Bio:
Tony Scardina is an IT professional specializing in Cyber Security who works with tools from leading cyber-security product vendors to keep networks of different sizes safe from intrusion and malicious software. Previously, Tony has worked as a Senior Systems and Network Engineer

Tony has excelled at keeping private company and government data safe since 2012 through proactive monitoring and scanning of network infrastructure, and also by making changes to systems, networks, policies, and procedures when appropriate.

Some of the customers Tony has done this for include a contractor to a government office at The State of Ohio, as well as a contractor to a department of the United States Federal Government.

Outside of IT work, Tony’s passionate about aviation, and about helping others. Tony flew an aircraft for the first time at age fifteen, and has been an FAA licensed pilot since 2005. Tony’s sense of community service goes as far back as his teenage years, when he volunteered his time to the local Civil Air Patrol squadron, and served as president at his local chapter of Key Club International. In more recent years, his sense of community service has lead Tony to obtain a certification from the Ohio Peace Officer’s Training Commission and worked for a brief time as a patrol officer in a small urban community in Ohio.

Tony holds an associate’s degree of applied science in network systems administration from ITT-Technical Institute in Akron, Ohio (where he graduated with honors), and studied aeronautics and flight technology at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
